Realized on the ARP 2600, ARP Sequencer, EMS Synthi E, eurorack, few effects, and assembled over a period of two months.

To date, my most ambitious [published] work. This is a drone requiem to two lovely old people who departed in March. Not that it was the basic intent, though I felt the work was quite stern as I was recording and editing it, but it so happened that loss dictated its final intent. It doesn't so much depict the afterlife, as life itself, the uncanny in life - awkwardly flipping through old pictures, figures and places are strangely familiar, but ultimately, everything is dead, what was once alive now a mere surface, the meaning is gone.

Past the lengthy minimal introduction, indecisiveness, imprecision collide into bursts of noise. Each of the 44 movements, be it a few seconds or several minutes long, follow the pattern. Now nearly in my 40th year I witness this pattern recurring more and more around me. Circumstances with no architect - crash, tension, crash, tension.

Acquiring more tools in the recent months has allowed me to focus on rhythm more, and further my timbral explorations. Of course I sustained myself on Eliane Radigue and Roland Kayn while composing the work: more than ever I invite the listener to lose the sense of time, as irrelevant. I have learnt to enjoy proposing shorter tracks, but I'm not losing track of my main obsession, the flow, the metamorphose over significant masses of minutes. Only the certainty that nobody would trust me into downloading pieces of two, three, more, days, prevent me to release them (they exist...).
